Ready for fieldwork!

On 3 and 7-8 June, the Health and Safety Training and the Glacier Safety Training for fieldwork were completed in Sion and on the Steingletscher above Sustenpass.

Basic first aid practices with a special focus on conditions likely to be encountered in cold and remote regions were addressed in the first training, while glacier-related safety, from roping up and moving as a team to anchor building and crevasse rescue was covered in the second course.

Now the field season can begin!
